When the idea of creating Cosmopolite was born?
It was the beginning of November 2003. At the time I was part of the Ambrosetti’s Young Leaders programme and we made a cultural trip to Spain.
During that visit to Spain I remember that Marianna, Letizia, Andrea and Giuseppe told me that one day a Cosmopolite should become a reality.
At the time I was working on the book and I had opportunity to discuss the basics with many people of the group and they liked the idea. Especially Ale and Antonio expressed that they liked it after we met Ana Palacio – former Spanish Foreign Minister. We met with Mrs Palacio on 4th of November 2003 in Madrid and for half an hour we discussed the basics of the Cosmopolitan Democracy…
On 29th of January 2005 the book was completed. The first hard copies in Italian were printed only for friends in May 2005.
The idea of Cosmopolite website was born several years ago but the English version was needed. My dear friend Patty donated thousands of hours of her time to translate the book in English thus it can be shared and understood by the Smrikva Bowl kids…

Cosmopolite… a World citizen, a person who adheres to the idea of cosmopolitanism… a person who adheres to universal respect of humankind as a whole, regardless of nation…
Culture, sport, children and music are some of the pillars for the unity in a diversity… an old Eutopia dream… It is mostly a matter of civilisation…
This Eutopia might become a reality when the mankind unite in common future challenges. There will be several opportunities in the future such as: environment, energy problems,… The UN already works on many issues but there is still a lot to accomplish.
In the long term future the dream of exploring the frontier of the space will be another important element of people unity if the energy problem get solved.
