Cosmopolite idea... an old utopia

You will also learn that I graduated in Finance and Business Administration on Bocconi University in Milan, obtained a second degree in Political Science on Milan’s University, and a Master CEMS degree in European Union development on both ESADE University in Barcelona and on Bocconi University.

I was for a year part of Ambrosetti’s “Young Leaders” programme that I consider very important learning experience. Being part of this group allowed me to learn from people that are considered top experts in the World in most different fields: politics, business, culture, music, art, science, etc.

The post degree course in Finance obtained in New York with Citicorp that was at the time considered one of the most important finance courses among Blue Chip Financial Institutions on the Wall Street is comparable in several elements to Ambrosetti experience.

Over the years I read many books related to other people background and culture and this helped me to complete the book. I also continue to read many books after I completed this book and my basic considerations expressed in the book have not significantly changed.

You will also see, if you read the whole book, that my analysis is focused on Europe and it has European background. For the other contests the cultural differences should be respected that this idea in my opinion allow because as I said is an incomplete painting.

What can we learn from the past?

Every country and every conflict has its own background problems and every diplomat or person that is involved in trying to help to solve conflicts need a deep understanding of the local situation that brought people into a conflict situation.

From the history you can learn but you will not find the answers to the future problems. Every generation needs to solve them on their own. The history could help you to see how other people solved problems of their times and this knowledge could be of help to each of us.

There are very few people that learn thanks to their intuition and most of the people on the Earth learn through mistakes, own experiences, and long hours spent listening to the parents, friends, relatives, reading books and learning by doing. Nothing comes easy and nothing comes without huge efforts.

Every human artwork is product of immense dedication of talented individuals and the society. Almost every human success require efforts.
